As the saying goes...

Was ist wichtig im Leben ist Leben, und nicht das Ergebnis des Lebens.
What is important in life is life, and not the result of life.

Tschüß!

Remember what I said in my "Last Post for German 10"? Just as how Frau Arroyo said it, I was "forced into [this class] by circumstance? At first, I found myself very unfortunate. However, it totally as the semester went on. This is one of the perfect reasons why I don't regret anything. One thing may not be that good in the first instance, it may somehow lead to a better one in the second, third, fourth, ninth, sixteenth, twentieth, one hundred first, or whatever instance and you will surely not regret it. I really had a lot of fun in this class because I was able to:

1. meet new friends
2. learn the German language
3. know that all Nouns are capitalized in German
4. count in German
5. learn that the World Cup has a meaning for Germans
6. get at least a simple overview of what this 'meaning' does to Germans
7. watch German movies
8. find German movies interesting
9. wake up early from Tuesday to Thursday
10. write a blog
11. correctly pronounce a lot of German words in sociology
12. listen to German songs
13. appreciate German songs
14. see Berlin (in pictures, of course)
15. consider working in Germany (despite Prof. Monsod's speech in her Econ 100.1 class... let me think...)
16. consider working for the Philippines even in Germany (extension for #15)
17. consider studying in Germany but work here in the Philippines (quite impossible, though... first substitute for #15)
18. sige na nga, visit na lang (second substitute for #15)
19. tell time in German
20. tell directions in German
21. learn the Germans' view of World War II and other related events
22. learn how Germans are different from Japanese
...and so much more... it's impossible to include them all. In short, I really had a lot of fun!!!

However, there are still some things I'm still having difficulty in.

1. "THE ALMIGHTY GENDER" (courtesy of Frau Ong)
2. vocabulary (of course, this will take time)
3. negation (even in my German 11 final exam)
4. time management (too generic)
5. how to avoid cramming (okay, forget about 4 and 5)

Of course, I won't forget the movies. I loved watching them.

Goodbye, Lenin
The capitalist and the socialist -- the reality and the funny invention of events
(This is just about the movie. In this case, I'm not describing capitalism and socialism in any way.)

Im Juli (In July)
The funnier one -- definitely not a prophecy and where was the sun again? XD

Lola Rennt
(Run Lola Run)
Things are intricately interconnected -- one of the messages I got movie
Why? It's hard to explain.

Hitlerjunge Salomon (Europa, Europa)
Again, the intricate interconnection of things and a view of World War II and the Holocaust

Plus, the song Nur Für Dich by Wise Guys -- my current LSS as of now. And, it has been my LSS for a couple of days now!

Moving on...

Of course, aside from the lessons, discussions, movies, etc., what made the class much more fun are the people! It would be completely different if they weren't the same people.

Die Klassenkameraden:

1. Xandi Alcasid
2. Luis Medalla
3. Seungkyung Kim
4. Carl Dayandante
5. Paolo Bernardo
5. Phillterr Saligumba
6. Mimi Reyes
7. Candy Reyes
8. Jet Ocampo
9. Cara Ramos
10. Crissy Gavan
11. Dana Capuyan
12. Lorraine Cardinal

Die Besucher:
1. German 1
2. German 2
3. German 3
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to ask for their names. Ironically, one of the first things a student learns in a foreign language class is to ask for one's name.

Die 'substitute' Deutschkurslehrerin:
Frau Roorkee Ong

Die Deutschkurslehrerin:
Frau Jeanne Arroyo

(Sorry for the word, substitute)

I learned a lot and I really had fun!!!
Well, that's it for German 10-11. Hopefully, I get to have German 12-13 next semester even if I have already completed my foreign language requirement.

Vielen Dank!
Tschüß!
